Online BUB course

After our last courses (which were held exclusively online due to the pandemic) met with a great response, we decided, in cooperation with the Bavarian State Medical Association, to continue offering them virtually in the future.

The online BUB course is aimed at both newbies to sleep medicine and advanced users who want to update their knowledge. With a unique mixture of lectures and seminars broadcast live and a preceding eLearning phase, our course can cover the entire spectrum of sleep medicine diagnostics and therapy with a time requirement of only 2 “days of attendance”.

Course content

After completing the course, you will be able to competently care for patients with suspected sleep-related breathing disorders and perform the necessary diagnostic measures (especially polygraphy), as well as evaluate all available therapies according to the guidelines that will help patients become a guide in the CPAP jungle.

Our BUB course fully complies with the recommendations of the German Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine (DGSM) as well as the requirements of the statutory health insurance companies (KV) to obtain approval for EBM number 30900.

The content of the course consists of 3 sections

Online learning part (telelearning phase with free time management)

In the online part created according to the quality criteria eLearning of the German Medical Association, sleep disorders are treated in a multimedia and interdisciplinary way. Learning is accompanied by communication and discussion via moderated participant forums and by email. Facts are imparted as a basis for the classroom course.

Attendance part via video conference

In the personal event, the contents processed in the telelearning phase are repeated and deepened. In addition, questions from daily work are discussed. The focus of the attendance days is on the practical implementation of the BUB guidelines. New therapeutic methods such as hypoglossal nerve stimulation are also addressed.

Insights into a sleep laboratory

The first day of the course ends with a look into our DGSM-accredited sleep laboratory. Our BUB course, also as an online version, fully meets the requirements of the statutory health insurance companies (KV) in order to receive approval for billing the EBM number 30900.
